Preparation

Submission Requirements

As part of the submission process, authors are required to ensure that every submission complies with the provisions below. Submissions may be returned or declined if the manuscript does not meet these requirements.
Author Submission Checklist
1
The submitted manuscript has never been published or accepted for publication in any journal.
2
The author must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, and other forms of unethical publication practices. Prior to the peer-review process, manuscripts may undergo a similarity screening using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate . The journal applies a maximum similarity threshold of 25% for submitted manuscripts. A similarity score, however, does not by itself determine whether plagiarism has occurred. The editorial team will evaluate the similarity report by considering the nature, extent, source, and context of the overlapping material. Manuscripts exceeding the 25% similarity threshold may be returned to the author for revision or may be declined before entering the peer-review process. Manuscripts with a lower similarity score may still be subject to further editorial investigation when inappropriate copying, duplication, or insufficient attribution is identified.

The journal's assessment of plagiarism and duplication is guided by the principles and recommendations of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) regarding the determination of acceptable levels of plagiarism and duplication.
3
The manuscript must be prepared in Microsoft Word format using the official Praefectura Template and submitted through the online submission system . The manuscript should contain approximately 5,000–8,000 words.
4
The author must follow the journal's Author Guidelines when preparing the manuscript.
5
The author must use reference management software, such as Mendeley or Zotero , to organize the references used in the manuscript. At least 80% of the references should consist of primary sources published within the last ten years.
6
The manuscript must be written in English. Authors are strongly encouraged to check the grammar and language quality using Grammarly or another appropriate language-editing application.
7
The author agrees that an approved manuscript may be published in Praefectura: Journal of Transformational Leadership and Educational Management .
