Digital Preservation & Scholarly Access

Deposit & Archiving

Lagaligo Press is committed to preserving the scholarly record and supporting the long-term accessibility, discoverability, and integrity of its published academic content.

1. Introduction

Lagaligo Press, an academic publishing imprint of Yayasan Lagaligo Education and Research Centre (LERC), recognizes that long-term preservation is an essential component of responsible scholarly publishing.

Our archiving approach is intended to ensure that published scholarly works remain identifiable, accessible, and usable as part of the academic record, subject to the technical, institutional, and preservation arrangements applicable to each publication.

2. Digital Preservation

Published articles and associated bibliographic information are maintained within the digital publishing infrastructure used by Lagaligo Press and its journals.

Preservation activities may include maintaining publication files, bibliographic metadata, article landing pages, persistent identifiers, and other information necessary to support the continuity of the scholarly record.

3. Archiving Principles

◆ Preservation

Maintaining published content and associated records to support long-term scholarly access.

◆ Accessibility

Supporting continued access to published scholarly content through the journal platform.

◆ Discoverability

Maintaining bibliographic information and metadata that support identification and discovery.

◆ Scholarly Record

Preserving the integrity and continuity of the published academic record.

4. Author Deposit and Self-Archiving

Authors may be permitted to deposit or share versions of their scholarly work in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal academic websites, or other appropriate scholarly platforms, subject to the copyright, licensing, and self-archiving conditions established by the relevant journal or publication.

Authors are encouraged to retain information about the published version, including the article title, journal title, publication year, volume and issue where applicable, and persistent identifier when available.

5. Repositories and Third-Party Archiving

Where appropriate, Lagaligo Press and its journals may participate in recognized institutional, disciplinary, national, or international preservation and repository services.

The availability of specific external preservation or repository services may vary among journals and may depend on eligibility, technical integration, journal requirements, and applicable agreements.

6. Preservation of the Version of Record

The final published version of an article constitutes the official scholarly record maintained by the relevant journal. Where a correction, retraction, or other post-publication update is necessary, appropriate editorial notices may be associated with the published record in order to maintain transparency and preserve the integrity of the scholarly literature.

7. Persistent Identification and Metadata

Lagaligo Press supports the use of persistent bibliographic information and identifiers to improve the stability, discoverability, citation, and long-term identification of scholarly publications. Where available, persistent identifiers and standardized metadata may be maintained as part of the publication record.

8. Long-Term Continuity

Lagaligo Press seeks to maintain continuity of the scholarly record even in the event of changes to journal platforms, publishing systems, or organizational arrangements.

Where technically and institutionally feasible, preservation measures may include migration of digital content, maintenance of bibliographic metadata, retention of publication files, and continued access through appropriate archival or repository arrangements.

9. Access to Archived Content

Published content is intended to remain accessible through the relevant journal website or other authorized preservation and repository channels. Access conditions may vary according to the publication's copyright, licensing, and preservation arrangements.

Our Archiving Commitment

Lagaligo Press is committed to responsible digital preservation and to supporting the long-term integrity, accessibility, discoverability, and continuity of the scholarly record.
